La Fiesta Announcement Party
The Order of the Flags announced the 2018 La Fiesta Duchesses, Escorts and Beneficiaries at a Spanish Inspired reception on Dec. 20 at the Belo Mansion and Pavilion. Order of the Flags President, John Reniger, announced the 40 duchesses and 40 escorts who will be formally presented at the 33rd La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas Presentation Gala. La Fiesta Chairs Anne Besser and Elizabeth Gambrell announced that the black-tie Presentation Gala, themed “Exploring Colores de España,” will be held on June 9 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas is a non-profit organization supporting educational, charitable and civic beneficiaries in the Park Cities and providing ongoing maintenance for the Park Cities Heritage House located at Dallas Heritage Village. Since 1986 La Fiesta has gifted more than $8.3 million to Park Cities community beneficiaries. La Fiesta promotes community spirit by hosting special events designed to celebrate traditions and it honor outstanding young ladies and gentlemen, while recognizing the unique heritage of our community.
The recipients of this years allocated funds as: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, CARE, Connecting Point of Park Cities, Dallas Children’s Theater, The Elisa Project, Friends of the Highland Park Library, Friends of the University Park Public Library, Habitat for Humanity/HPHS Campus Chapter, Highland Park Education Foundation, Highland Park Literary Festival, HP Arts, HPHS Service Council, HPHS Counseling Department and Student Council, HPHS Student Emergency Fund, HPHS Youth and Government Team/Moody Family YMCA in the Park Cities, and Park Cities Heritage House at Dallas Heritage Village.
