HP Hosts Annual Scotland Yard Classic
Highland Park will host the annual Scotland Yard Classic tournament this weekend, which functions as both the home opener and the final nondistrict tuneup for the Scots.
The round-robin event also will include a 12-team field of top squads from throughout the state, who will occupy the HP turf for three days beginning Thursday. Games also will be held in Prosper, Rockwall, and Coppell.
The Scots will open with Denton Guyer at 11 a.m. Thursday, then will face Midland (4 p.m. Thursday), Sachse (11 a.m. Friday), Belton (4 p.m. Friday), and Georgetown (12:30 p.m. Saturday). Other teams in the field include Jesuit, Flower Mound, and Southlake Carroll.
After the tournament, HP will head to Lovejoy for the District 15-5A opener on March 13.
