Krewe de Kidds Masquerade
The inaugural Krewe de Kidds masquerade presented by Ideal dental, benefiting the Kidd’s Kids Teen Trip with Caroline took place on Jan. 27 at the House of Blues in Dallas. More than 300 guests attended the Mardi Gras-themed event and enjoyed Cajun food and drinks with music by DJ Mike Morse of Radio DJs and live performances by The Castro’s (including front man Jason Castro from Season 13 of “American Idol”) and King, Dalton Rapattoni who was one of the top three finalists on Season 15 “American Idol.”
“I wanted to throw a Mardi Gras celebration in Dallas for the Kidd’s Kids family of supporters and friends to have fun, celebrate our kids and of course raise money to support our teens,” said Caroline Kraddick. “It was a magical evening for all, especially the teens from last years’ trip who were able to attend, my heart is full of gratitude to all who generously donated, volunteered and worked so hard to bring Krewe de Kidds to life, I can’t wait to do it again next year.”
Over $60,000 was raised which surpassed the expectations for a first-time event which will guarantee at least the same amount of teens and their families will be able to attend this years’ Kidd’s Kids Teen Trip with Caroline taking place June 2-8, nominations are now open at www.kiddskids.com.
The trip takes teens ages 13-18, who are diagnosed with a life-threatening condition, on an all-expenses-paid vacation to Orlando in partnership with Give Kids the World Village, to visit Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World.
