Two New Places to Brunch this Weekend

It’s been said that brunch is a Dallasites favorite meal of the day – we’re not arguing.

There is the stuffed brioche french toast at Henry’s Majestic, the croque madame with the jalapeno cream gravy at Bread Winners; and the baked pastries that come gratis with brunch at Al Biernat’s in the Park Cities.

Are you drooling yet?

Whether you are or aren’t, we’ve got two new spots to add to your brunch bucket list – no dying required.

Blatt Beer & Table
7859 Walnut Hill Lane
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

The Preston Hollow Village eatery announced its brand new brunch menu last week, and we’re already hooked. From a weekend twist on the Down South Pork – and trust us that this plate is big enough for two – to vegan southern tofu tacos, this well-defined menu has something for everyone. Check it out by clicking here.

The brunch menu also highlights a very economical libations menu with most drinks costing $4 – the bubbly bar is $5.

Pro tip: Wear stretchy pants, or plan for a relaxing walk around Trader Joe’s, because these portions are HUGE!

Street’s Fine Chicken
3857 Cedar Springs Road
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

This chicken house unleashed its new brunch menu this past Tuesday, which prices all entrees at $10. Of course, there’s a chicken and waffles offering, but other than that and a fried chicken-stuffed burrito you won’t find much pollo on this menu. But that’s OK, because what’s lacked in variety is made up for in the yummy salty, lemony brine flavor the chicken has. That and the wonderfully loud and satisfying crunch that’s delivered after biting into the crust – Take that Doritos.

Nonchicken options include brioche French toast, biscuits and gravy, and quiche.

Pro tip: If you love a bone-in chicken, you can ask for that instead of the boneless breast mentioned on the menu.
