Crime Reports Dec. 11 – 17

SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: WINTER IS COMING

The idea of a frosty late December may have been too much for a burglar, who in the early morning hours (4:45 a.m.) of Dec. 12 smashed the front window at a Boot Barn in the 5800 block of Inwood Road and stole some winter clothing.

11 Monday

Property was intentionally damaged between 10 and 10:30 p.m. at a business office in the 12200 block of Inwood Road.

A vehicle parked at the Town North YMCA in the 4300 block of Northaven Roawas broken into sometime between 5:30 and 7:20 p.m.

12 Tuesday

Stolen before 8:30 a.m.: a lighted Christmas wreath from the front gate of a home in the 8600 block of Inwood Road.

13 Wednesday

Stolen before 8:30 a.m.: a pistol from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 5100 block of Mill Run Road.

Around 4 p.m., a package was stolen from the front porch of a home in the 7200 block of Stefani Drive.

14 Thursday

A car’s wheel covers were stolen sometime between noon and 7 p.m. while parked at the Preston Valley Shopping Center.

Stolen before 9 a.m.: property from a vehicle parked overnight in the 12500 block of Renoir Lane.

Two 18-year-old women and a 19-year-old woman were all arrested for shoplifting between 8:04 and 8:07 p.m. at Macy’s in NorthPark Center.

Arrested: An 18-year-old female for shoplifting around 11:05 a.m. at Neiman Marcus in NorthPark Center.

15 Friday

Sometime between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m., property from a vehicle was stolen while parked at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in the 9200 block of Inwood Road. 

Stolen: the third-row seat of a vehicle parked between 9 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. in the 8300 block of Westchester Drive.

Sometime between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Friday, a vacant home in the 4800 block of Harvest Hill Road was broken into and property was stolen.

Around 5:45 a.m., a window of a home in the 7300 block of Woodthrush Drive was broken in an attempted burglary.

16 Saturday

Around 7:15 p.m.,  52-year-old Denton woman was run off the road while driving in the 8900 block of Hillcrest Road. 

A Subway sandwich shop in the 6800 block of West Northwest Highway was burglarized around 4:30 a.m.

A storage unit in the 5800 block of LBJ Freeway was broken into overnight before 9 a.m., and property inside was stolen.

17 Sunday

An 18-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting around 3:30 p.m. at Macy’s in NorthPark Center.
