Ready for Hoops? Come Meet the Scots!
With hoops season ready to tip-off soon, the Highland Park basketball teams will hold their annual Meet the Scots event at 6 p.m. on Oct. 30 in the HPHS main gym.
Players on both the boys and girls squads will meet with fans and sign autographs, and the first 300 children will received a free basketball. Afterward, each team will hold a public scrimmage. The event also will include other prizes and free giveaways, along with a food truck.
The HP girls will start the regular season on Nov. 7 against Rockwall-Heath, while the boys get underway a week later against South Oak Cliff.
