HP Girls Win, Boys Fall in 15-5A Opener

As District 15-5A play is off and running, the Highland Park girls soccer team shows no signs of slowing down.
The Lady Scots (7-0, 1-0) remained undefeated with a 3-0 win over Lovejoy on Tuesday, behind goals from Presley Echols, Rachel Wasserman, and Ellen Wolfe. HP has blanked five of its seven opponents this season.
On the boys side, the Scots (4-2-1) stumbled in their district opener, falling 1-0 to Lovejoy. Both HP squads will face North Forney on Friday, with the girls playing at home and the boys on the road.
