Support Vets at Military-Themed Film Festival in HP Village

Sons of the Flag’s third annual Stars and Stripes Luncheon will be held at the Dallas Country Club at 12 p.m. Oct. 11 to honor military, first responders, and civilian burn victims.

The luncheon will kick off the unique military focused film festival that will run through Nov. 13 at Highland Park Village Theater.

This year’s keynote speaker will be United States Congressman, decorated war hero, and native Texan Sam Johnson. The first Legacy Award will be presented to Dr. Stephen Burgher, a lead physician at the Baylor Scott & White Health Center, and a Marine Corps trauma team leader at a military medical unit in Afghanistan.

The Stars & Stripes Luncheon and Film Festival will benefit Sons of the Flag, a Dallas-based nonprofit founded by former Navy SEAL Ryan “Birdman” Parrott. Sons of the Flag is committed to being a resource for burn victims and their families find the help and medical attention they need.
