Mizzen+Main CEO Named Emerging Leader
SMU will honor a handful of graduates at the Distinguished Alumni Award presentation and dinner Nov. 3. Mizzen + Main co-founder Kevin Lavelle will join them to receive the university’s Emerging Leader Award. The 2008 graduate earned his Bachelor of Science in engineering management founded the men’s clothing company, which features apparel with advanced performance fabrics, in 2012.
SMU grads who will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award include:
- President of the Sarah and Ross Perot Jr. Foundation, Sarah Fullinwider Perot, class of 1983.
- Financial services leader John C. Tolleson, class of 1970.
- U.S. Navy veteran and real estate magnate Richard W. Weekley, class of 1967.
