The Highland Park boys are off to a strong start this fall. They will next compete in a tournament in Austin on Nov. 15, — The Highland Park boys are off to a strong start this fall.

In its second of three tournaments this fall, the Highland Park boys won the Shootout at the Lake on Saturday at Lakecliff Golf Club near Marble Falls.

While shooting under par in two of three rounds, the Scots rallied during the final round to claim the title over Austin Vandegrift. Cash Carter claimed the individual gold medal for HP with a total score of 208 (or 5 under par).

Turner Hosch (209) was second overall and Scott Roden (212) placed sixth. HP will wrap up its fall schedule on Nov. 9 at Falconhead Golf Club in Austin.
