HP Runs Well in Round Rock
The Highland Park girls placed 16th in a prestigious field in the elite varsity division at the McNeil Invitational on Saturday in Round Rock.
The top finisher for the Lady Scots was Olivia Scott, who posted a 5-kilometer time of 19 minutes, 19 seconds on the course at Old Settlers Park. Grace Beitter and Emma Parker also crossed the line in the top 100 individually.
On the boys side, HP was 25th in the team standings, led by Logan Gwinn, Jorge Rodriguez, and Jack Alessio.
The Lady Scots will return to action on Friday at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie, the site of the upcoming Class 5A Region II meet. The HP boys will compete in North Richland Hills on Saturday.
