Skulduggery of the Week: Food (Truck) Fight

At noon Sept. 22, threats were made during a sales turf dispute between two food truck drivers in the 7200 block of Airline Road.


Between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 18 and 7:40 a.m. Sept. 19, a miscreant broke into offices in the 4300 block of Macarthur Avenue, stole property, and caused damages. 

Between 4 p.m. Sept. 14 and 8:39 p.m. Sept. 19, a scoundrel stole a white 2005 Ford Excursion from the 3800 block of Gillon Avenue.

Between 4 and 6 a.m., a vandal broke the window of a silver 2009 Toyota Avalon in the 5000 block of Holland Avenue.

Between 11:30 p.m. Sept. 19 and 6:35 a.m. Sept. 20, a rapscallion stole a $3,200 black Louis Vuitton purse from a silver 2011 Chevrolet suburban in the 4500 block of Belfort Plaza. 

At 4:13 p.m., a victim reported a burglar broke into a house in the 3100 block of Beverly Drive and stole a $50 gold card holder, a $300 pair of prescription glasses, and a $1,500 black Louis Vuitton purse.

Between 8 a.m. Sept. 22 and noon Sept. 23, a lawbreaker stole a Louis Vuitton wallet, a pair of blue Ray-Ban sunglasses, and $35 in cash from a gray 2012 Audi A8 in the 3600 block of Crescent Avenue. At 1:34 a.m., Jody Young, 21, of Dallas, was arrested in the 3400 block of Knox Street on a charge of burglary of a vehicle.

At 9:54 p.m., William Gregory Anderson, 49, of Highland Park, was arrested in the 3600 block of Shenandoah Avenue on a charge of assault causing bodily injury to a family member.


Between 3 p.m. Sept. 17 and 8 a.m. Sept. 19, a thief stole a $7,000 grill from a construction site in the 3400 block of Marquette Street.

At 11:30 p.m., Natalie Michelle Courie, 27, of Dallas, was arrested in the 4400 block of Lovers Lane on a charge of public intoxication.

Between midnight and 11 a.m., a scoundrel stole a $35,000 black 2015 Ford from the 2700 block of Amherst Street.

At 11:15 a.m., a thief entered a gray 2003 Honda Accord in the 8400 block of Preston Road and stole $9.77.

Between 10 a.m. Sept. 20 and 9:09 a.m. Sept. 21, a wrongdoer broke into a white 2003 Ford F150 and a silver 2014 Honda CR-V in the 2800 block of Milton Avenue and stole two flashlights valued at $60, two pairs of binoculars valued at $60, four knives valued at $400, and two Garmin GPS’s valued at $400. 

Between noon and 12:30 p.m. a rapscallion stole a $3,000 floor buffer from a house in the 3200 block of Purdue Street.

At 4:24 a.m., a vandal caused $300 in damage to a stop sign in the 3000 block of SMU Boulevard.

At 12:25 a.m., Calvin Lamar Spratt, 31, of Rowlett, was arrested in the 4400 block of University Boulevard on a charge of public intoxication.

Between midnight and 2:45 p.m., a thief stole $1,000 in copper drainpipes from a house in the 3100 block of Rosedale Avenue, causing $500 in damage.
