Scots Stay on Pace at Lovejoy Meet
Highland Park placed seventh in the team standings in the girls elite division at the Lovejoy Fall Festival meet on Sept. 24 in McKinney.
The Lady Scots had four runners place in the top 50 overall, including Grace Beitter, Grace O’Keefe, Olivia Scott, and Emma Parker.
On the boys side, the Scots were third among Class 5A teams at the meet. Logan Gwinn paced HP with a personal-best time of 16 minutes, 42 seconds.
On Saturday, HP will compete at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, which also is the site of the state meet in November.
