Skulduggery of the Week: Living on Stolen Time

At 9:38 a.m. Aug. 13, a victim reported a burglar broke into his black 2007 GMC Yukon in the 3100 block of Drexel Drive between 7 a.m. and noon Aug. 5 and stole $10 in change and an $8,000 Cartier watch.

HIGHLAND PARK

8 MONDAY
Between 2:30 p.m. Aug. 6 and 7 a.m. Aug. 8, a thief entered a house under construction in the 4300 block of St. Johns Drive and stole a $300 saw.

At 8:29 p.m., a burglar broke into a house in the 4600 block of North Versailles Avenue causing $200 in damage, and stole an $800 white iPhone 6S as the victim was getting out of the shower.

9 TUESDAY
Between 7 a.m. and 2:10 p.m., a thief stole a white 2008 Ford F150 with a black 2015 Big Tex 14-foot trailer attached containing miscellaneous tools in the 3500 block of Lindenwood Avenue.

10 WEDNESDAY
At midnight, Brian Keith Hayes, 55, of Dallas, was arrested in the 4600 block of South Versailles Avenue on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Between 3 p.m. Aug. 8 and 3 p.m. Aug. 10, a scoundrel stole a $200 pair of Kate Spade sunglasses and $2,000 headlights from a white 2009 Cadillac Escalade in the 5000 block of Abbott Avenue.

11 THURSDAY
At 3 a.m., Andrew Thomas Enzor, 19, of Highland Park, was arrested in the 4500 block of Fairfax Avenue on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 3:10 a.m., William Brantley Hicks, 18, of Dallas, was arrested in the 4500 block of Fairfax Avenue on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

At 9:32 a.m., a burglar broke into a gray Audi Q5 at Chase Bank in the 4500 block of Lemmon Avenue and stole a pouch containing a set of keys and $10 in quarters.

At 11 p.m., Teresa Dawn Weiss, 53, was arrested in the 5400 block of Preston Road on a charge of public intoxication.

14 SUNDAY
At 8:11 p.m., Eva M. Mangas, 43, of Irving, was arrested at Highland Park Village on a charge of public intoxication.

At 11:32 p.m., Johnny Ray Lara, 26, of Allen, was arrested in the 4600 block of Bowser Avenue on a charge of public intoxication.

 

UNIVERSITY PARK

8 MONDAY

Between 3 p.m. Aug. 5 and 10:02 a.m. Aug. 8, a thief stole a $30 hammer, $250 in miscellaneous tools, and a $300 ladder from the backyard of a house in the 3600 block of Asbury Avenue.

At 10:45 p.m., Jade Elyse Chance, 34, of Mesquite, was arrested in the 4400 block of Lovers Lane on a charge of possession of marijuana.

11 THURSDAY
At 3:40 p.m., a $400 city of University Park “No Parking” sign was found in the back of a white 2007 Ford F150 in the 7000 block of Boedeker Street. At 4 p.m., Brian Daniel Pelkey, 39, of Richardson, was arrested on a charge of theft.

At 11:45 p.m., Leonardo Perez, 23, of Dallas, and Abraham Florez, 20, of Carrolton, were arrested in the 6900 block of Preston Road on a charge of possession of marijuana.

13 SATURDAY 
At 1:44 p.m., a burglar broke into a white 2013 Ford F350 in the 8300 block of Preston Road and stole $30 in cash, a $50 pair of Kendra Scott earrings, an $80 LOFT sweater, a $100 pair of LOFT pants, a $100 LOFT shirt, a $200 LOFT jacket, and $1,000 in cosmetics.

14 SUNDAY 
At 11:03 p.m., Francisco Morales Garcia, 51, of Dallas, was arrested in the 7600 block of Thackery Street on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
