At 5:36 p.m. on May 24, a resident of the 4500 block of Westway Avenue reported that 124 bottles of wine, valued at $47,039, were stolen between Aug. 7 and May 12.
HIGHLAND PARK
25 WEDNESDAY
Between 9 a.m. on May 20 and 9 a.m. on May 25, a thief stole the license plate from a black 2012 BMW in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue, and replaced it with another plate.
26 THURSDAY
At 8:30 p.m., a man lost a $10,000 Rolex watch in the Starbucks at Highland Park Village.
27 FRIDAY
At 9:40 a.m., an employee of Christian Louboutin at Highland Park Village reported a scoundrel purchased a $675 pair of white high heels with a credit card on March 19, and then cancelled the payment.
Between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., a thief entered a tan 2016 Chevrolet Malibu at Fairfax Park and stole three passports, two driver licenses, boarding passes, prescription medication for diabetes, a $100 Coach purse, and $7,000 in cash.
28 SATURDAY
Between 9 p.m. on May 27 and 1 a.m. on May 28, a resident of the 4300 block of Fairfax Avenue had guests over, and noticed a Kate Spade purse, Subaru Forester vehicle keys, $5 in cash, a Percocet pill, Chanel perfume, a wedding band, and a gold custom pin were missing. The host said she did not know all of the attendees.
At 11:20 p.m., Dominique Alicia Pollett, 25, of Dallas, was arrested on Hillcrest Avenue on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
29 SUNDAY
At 7:33 a.m., Alberto Garcia Vargas, 24, of Garland, was arrested in the 5500 block of Preston Road for violation of the open container law.
At noon, a prisoner in the HPDPS temporary holding facility in the 4700 block of Drexel Drive removed the cap off of a sprinkler head in a cell, causing $1,000 in damage. The prisoner, Donnie Lee Jordan, 65, of Dallas, had been arrested at 3:48 a.m. for failure to identify. He was transferred to the Dallas County Correctional Facility.
At 6:12 p.m., a shoplifter stole less than $100 in groceries from Whole Foods in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.
UNIVERSITY PARK
23 MONDAY
Between 9 p.m. on May 22 and 7:30 a.m. on May 23, a burglar broke into a white 2013 GMC Yukon in the 2800 block of Milton Avenue and stole the third-row seat.
Between midnight and 8:08 a.m., a burglar broke into two vehicles in the 2800 block of Daniel Avenue and stole $700 in power tools, $1,890 in miscellaneous property, and $4,450 in golf clubs.
At 7:15 p.m., an employee of Tom Thumb in The Plaza at Preston Center reported a shoplifter stole 25 bottles of wine valued at $3,117.37.
24 TUESDAY
At 10 a.m., Zachary Wall, 42, was arrested in the 4200 block of Lovers Lane on a charge of public intoxication.
27 FRIDAY
Between 7:30 p.m. on May 26 and 8:20 a.m. on May 27, a thief stole the wheel rims from a black 2014 GMC Yukon in the 3300 block of Caruth Boulevard.
Between 7:45 a.m. on May 24 and 12:18 p.m. on May 27, a thief stole a wallet from a white 2015 Chevrolet Suburban in the 3500 block of Centenary Drive.
29 SUNDAY
At 4:30 a.m., Calvin James Lones, 22, of Dallas, was arrested in the 3700 block of University Boulevard on a charge of public intoxication.
Between 7 p.m. on May 28 and 8 a.m. on May 29, a thief stole a $6,000 Banshee Spitfire bicycle from a house in the 2800 block of Westminster Avenue.
Between 9 p.m. on May 29 and 11 a.m. on May 29, a thief entered a silver 2013 Ford Focus in the 2700 block of Hanover Street and stole $10 in cash, a $20 wallet, $100 in miscellaneous property, and a $400 purse.
