Skulduggery of the week: OH, WHAT A WATERFUL WORLD

At 3:28 p.m. on May 20, assailants threw water balloons at students and adults at McCulloch Intermediate School, causing one victim discomfort and pain on impact.

HIGHLAND PARK

18 WEDNESDAY
At 4:18 a.m., Warren Nicholas Whitlow Jr., of Highland Park, was arrested in the 5200 block of Edmondson Avenue on a charge of interfering with public duties.

At 8:05 p.m., Patrick Charles Gomez, 27, of Austin, was arrested in the 5400 block of Sewanee Avenue on a charge of possession of marijuana. 

22 SUNDAY
At 11 p.m., Roosevelt Thompson was arrested in the 4200 block of Mockingbird Lane on a charge of littering.

UNIVERSITY PARK

16 MONDAY
At 9 a.m., a thief stole a $600 iPhone 5s and a $2,500 Apple laptop from a backpack at Highland Park High School. The cell phone was recovered.

Between 6 p.m. on May 14 and 1 p.m. on May 16, a thief stole a $7,000 silver 2004 Saturn from the 4400 block of Lovers Lane.

17 TUESDAY
Between 1:30 a.m. on May 15 and 8:52 a.m. on May 17, a thief entered Osgood O’Neil Salon in the 4300 block of Lovers Lane and stole $100 in miscellaneous property and $698 in cash.

Between 6:30 a.m. and 7:08 p.m., a vandal scratched a gray 2012 Honda Civic in the 3300 block of Milton Avenue, causing $700 in damage.

18 WEDNESDAY
At 2:51 p.m., Timothy Kyle Roberson, 30, of Dallas, was arrested in the 4300 block of Lovers Lane on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

19 THURSDAY
Between 6:30 p.m. on May 18 and 6:03 p.m. on May 19, a thief stole a package containing $2,600 in household goods from a porch in the 3700 block of Purdue Street.

20 FRIDAY
Between noon and 12:45 p.m., a thief stole $99 from lockers in the Highland Park High School boys basketball locker room.

Between 5:30 p.m. on May 19 and 6 p.m. on May 20, a thief stole a $130 Schwinn Legacy girls bicycle from a house in the 4400 block of Emerson Avenue.

21 SATURDAY 
At 7:30 p.m., a resident of the 4000 block of Amherst Street reported a thief entered a shed between May 2 and May 7 and stole $860 in tools.
