Legacy Senior Communities Yes! Brunch

Emmy award-winning journalist Lesley Stahl spoke about her new book, Becoming Grandma: The Joys and Science of the New Grandparenting, at the Legacy Senior Communities’ annual Yes! brunch on May 5 at the Omni Hotel.

Legacy Willow Bend resident Buddy Rosenthal was awarded the Carmen Miller Michael Award, which is given to and an individual with a lifelong commitment to helping Jewish seniors.

At the event, the Legacy Senior Communities announced the kickoff of a $15 million philanthropic campaign to build The Legacy Midtown Park, a new Jewish-sponsored retirement community. Proceeds from the event went toward a financial assistance fund for future residents.

The community will be located on 10-acres on Manderville Lane, just north of Meadow Road and east of North Central Express.

The event’s co-chairs were Joey Daniel, Marilyn Fiedelman, Erica Robins, Ruthy Rosenberg, Barbara Stein, and Jackie Waldman, as well as Carol Aaron, past chair of The Legacy Senior Communities.
