Skulduggery of the week: PICKING UP SPEED … LIMIT SIGNS

At 4:43 p.m. on May 11, a vandal caused $200 in damage to a speed limit pole in the 3700 block of Mockingbird Lane. The pole was broken in half and pulled partially out of the ground; and the sign was detached from the pole.

HIGHLAND PARK

10 TUESDAY
Between 2 p.m. on May 8 and 8 a.m. on May 10, a vandal caused $140 in damage to the gate of a house in the 4300 block of Westway Avenue.

11 WEDNESDAY

At 5:30 a.m., a thief entered a gray 2008 Toyota Scion from the 4500 block of Westway Avenue, found the ignition key in the center console, and stole the vehicle.

At noon, the owner of a blue 2008 GMC Acadia reported a thief entered the vehicle in the 5500 block of Key Street between 8 p.m. on May 6 and 9 a.m. on May 8, and stole a MacBook Pro and a black Nike backpack.

13 FRIDAY
Between 7 and 11:50 p.m., a burglar broke into a house in the 3500 block of Drexel Drive and stole a $100 pellet gun and a $2,000 MacBook.

14 SATURDAY
Between 11 a.m. on May 13 and 9 a.m. on May 14, a thief stole a black 2010 Mercedes C36 in the 3500 block of Normandy Avenue. The vehicle contained a prescription bottle of 30 Adderall pills, $17 in cash, a $20 iPhone charger, $40 Apple headphones, and a $150 pair of Rayban sunglasses.

15 SUNDAY
At 3:45 a.m., Duong Thuy Nguyen, 25, of Allen was arrested in the 4300 block of Edmondson Avenue on a charge of public intoxication.

UNIVERSITY PARK

9 MONDAY
At 12:31 p.m., a vandal caused $250 in damage to the eave of a house in the 3900 block of Stanford Avenue between 6 p.m. on May 6 and 9 a.m. on May 7.

10 TUESDAY
Between 2 and 10 p.m., a burglar broke into a house in the 6600 block of Hursey Street and stole a $200 .22-caliber handgun.

11 WEDNESDAY
At 10:43 p.m., a burglar broke into a gray 2015 Dodge Durango in the parking lot of Café Brazil in the 6400 block of North Central Expressway, and stole $100 in rain gear, a $500 wallet, a $600 pair of Ferragamo shoes, and an $800 pair of Magnanni shoes.

12 THURSDAY
Between 9 p.m. on May 11 and 7 a.m. on May 12, a thief stole a $69.99 ENO hammock and a $600 Cannondale Catalyst bicycle from the carport of a house in the 4200 block of Emerson Avenue.

Between 6 p.m. on May 6 and 10 a.m. on May 12, a thief stole $18,326 in kitchen appliances from a home under construction in the 2700 block of Westminster Avenue.

13 FRIDAY

At 4:34 a.m., Carrie N. Thomas, 31, of Frisco, was arrested in the 5800 block of Central Expressway on a charge of public intoxication.

At 6 a.m., Alberto Cardenas, 31, of Dallas, was arrested in the 3300 block of Wentwood Drive on a charge of public intoxication.

At 10:20 a.m., Keaton Roddy Baker, 19, of Plano, was arrested in the 5900 block of Preston Road on a charge of public intoxication.

At 11:55 a.m., Deshun Richmond, 19, of Dallas, and a minor were arrested in the 4200 block of Emerson Avenue on a charge of aggravated robbery with a firearm.

Between 4:50 and 7 p.m., a thief stole a white 2014 Lexus Gx460 from the 8300 block of Preston Road.

14 SATURDAY
At 6:41 a.m., Antonio Ramirez, 22, of Dallas, was arrested in the 6600 block of Airline Road on a charge of public intoxication.

Between 1 and 2 p.m., a burglar broke into a blue 2015 Honda in the 3500 block of Lovers Lane and stole $250 in cash and a $400 Marc Jacobs purse.

15 SUNDAY
At noon, Preston Road Church of Christ in the 6400 block of Preston Road reported vandals caused $150 in damage by graffiti between 6 p.m. on May 3 and 8 a.m. on May 4.

Between 11 a.m. on May 13 and 4:15 p.m. on May 15, a thief stole a white 2008 BMW from the 4400 block of Hyer Avenue.
