UPDATED:
A bus carrying members of the P.T. Cruisers — a seniors ministry group at St. Michael and All Angels — was touring the Bluebonnet Trail on April 21, when the bus failed to clear a railroad bridge.
Thirty passengers were taken to area hospitals for treatment and for precautionary observation. By Friday afternoon, only three were still under hospital supervision, according to church spokesman Lowell Duncan. None of their injuries are life-threatening.
“Everyone is happy that they are a-OK,” Duncan said.
As for the bus company, Duncan said that they’ve used them for many, many years and he “anticipates they will be very responsive to the needs” of those injured.
The P.T. Cruisers are still planning on making their next monthly outing in May to see the Fort Worth Japanese Garden, Duncan said.
Correction: A previous version stated the date as April 22.
