Hats Off To The Mad Hatter’s Tea
While Dallasites love an excuse to show off our high fashion, there are few occasions for us to show off our chicness and creative minds for hats.
However, the annual Mad Hatter’s Tea on April 21, hosted by the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, brings some of the most noteworthy hats around town to one of the cities finest gardens.
This year’s theme, Steel Magnolias, pays tribute to the namesake film, and is sure to bring hats both big and small, full of magnolias, real, and maybe even steel. Hat judging will take place at 10 a.m. in the Ginsburg family plaza; a live auction and fashion show by Tootsies will start at 11:30 a.m. in Rosine Hall; and the seated luncheon will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the outdoor plaza.
The event is chaired by Connie Jocelyn White, and the honorary chair is Connie Carreker.
Tickets are available on the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden website, beginning at $250.
