Skulduggery of the Week: Do You Want Fries With That?

At 4:53 a.m. on March 8, a burglar broke into Chip’s Old Fashioned Hamburger in the 4500 block of Lovers Lane and stole $200 in property.


Between 8 p.m. on March 5 and 1 p.m. on March 7, a thief entered a white 2012 Mercedes E350 in the 4500 block of Belclaire Avenue and stole an ashtray and more than $3 in change.

Between 12:01 a.m. on March 3 and 8 a.m. on March 8, a thief entered a white 2014 Jeep Wrangler in the 4600 block of Livingston Avenue and stole a pair of $195 Ray-Ban sunglasses, a $200 Fossil watch, and a pair of $225 Oakley sunglasses.

At 11:45 a.m., a resident of the 4000 block of Euclid Avenue reported a vandal had thrown a rock through a window in the house, causing $200 in damage, between 12:01 a.m. and 6:26 p.m. on March 3.

At 2:41 a.m., Neal Wadea Stetson, 33, of Dallas, was arrested in the 4200 block of St. Johns Drive on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.



Between midnight on March 4 and midnight on March 7, a thief stole a $511 Trek boys bicycle from the 3400 block of McFarlin Boulevard.

Between 6 and 8 p.m., a vandal caused $1,000 in damage to the front door of a house in the 3800 block of Centenary Drive.

Between 7:48 a.m. on Jan. 15 and 7:48 a.m. on March 9, a thief stole a $338 dental tool sterilizer in the 6000 block of Hillcrest Avenue that had never been picked up by UPS.

At 3:05 p.m., an assailant attacked a person with a cutting instrument in the Plaza at Preston Center leaving two puncture wounds on the victim’s back.

Between 8:35 and 8:44 a.m., a burglar broke into a white 2011 Lexus RX at Christ Lutheran Church in the 3000 block of Lovers Lane and stole $200 in cash, a $200 Hobo wallet, and a $1,000 Louis Vuitton purse.

At 10:30 p.m., a minor driving a white 2007 Lexus IS 350 was involved in a crash at Highland Park High School and issued a citation for driving under the influence of alcohol by a minor.

At 11:13 p.m., Harrison Robert Moore, 19, of Dallas, was arrested in the 6800 block of Westchester Drive on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Between midnight on Feb. 13 and midnight on March 12, a resident of the 3700 block of Granada Avenue paid $3,250 to a person to repair the house. The hired worked did not perform the repairs or return the materials purchased by the homeowner.
