Meet Venture Investors at Breakfast Forum
On March 24, Southwest Venture Forum presents “Dallas Startups Rising: Incubators, Accelerators, and Co-Location Resources.”
Founded by a local venture capital firm in 1984, the nonprofit provides a forum where entrepreneurs can meet with venture investors at bi-monthly breakfast meetings, a chance for them to network, solicit financing, and get advice from professionals in their community.
Southwest Venture Forum, now run by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship since 1990, also gives selected entrepreneurs the chance to present detailed business plans that lay out their products and services, industry and target markets, financial projections, and business goals.
Expert panels and investors will discuss current venture financing topics. According to the Southwest Venture Forum website, “Membership in the forum consists of entrepreneurs, venture investors, bankers, attorneys, accountants, and consultants working with early- and intermediate-stage growth-oriented entrepreneurs and their firms.”
The March 24 forum will be moderated by Larry Calton of Montgomery Capital Advisors, LLC. Expert panelists include Trey Bowles, CEO of The Dallas Entrepreneur Center (DEC); Jon Shapiro, director of Venture Development, UTD; and David Matthews, managing director of Revtech Accelerator.
The event is 7-9 a.m. at the Dallas Country Club.
Registration ends 12 p.m. Tuesday March 22. Seating is limited. You can register here.
