ESD was the top finishing school at this past weekend’s regatta in Austin, TX, both in total points and in points per entry.
The regatta, held on a seven-lane, fully buoyed course, was 1,000 meters long and had over 800 entries.
Bailyn Prichett ’18 and Katie Smythe ’18 won the Women’s Youth Lightweight 2x competition. They also, along with team members Emma White ’18 and Katelin Gildersleeve ’19, took second place in the Women’s Youth 4x. In the Women’s Youth Novice section, Gildersleeve and Sriya Dodda ’19 took third.
In the Men’s Youth Novice 2x division, Christian King ’19 and Mason Gosslee ’19 grabbed second place. They also placed second with team members Elliot Duessel ’19 and Bryce Miltenberger ’19 in the Men’s Youth Novice 4x.
These victories mean they get to race their next regatta at the Texas State Championships, also held in Austin, on April 16.
