Scorecard Places Dallas in Student Progress

The fourth annual Community Achievement Scorecard was hosted by The Commit! Partnership, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, and the Dallas Regional Chamber on March 3.

The event provided a close look at Dallas-area student’s progress and difficulties to support children from childhood to adulthood.

The 2014-15 scorecard showed an increase in initiatives from early matters, to reading levels, to college readiness.

Educational advocate Geoffrey Canada, best known for his work as CEO of Harlem’s Children Zone, spoke about “Expecting Greater” to school administrators, elected officials, and faith and civic leaders in the area.
