Perot Museum: Calling All Collectors

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science wants the public to be a part of its first full-scale, self-curated exhibition: Eye of the Collector.

From now until Feb. 21, the public is invited to submit items from their collections — whether they are quirky, historic, or of value — to a contest to have them be displayed in the exhibit.

The contest will be sorted into three categories: “Best Youth” (17 and under), “Most Unique”, and “Most Visually Stunning.” Five finalists will be chosen from each category. The overall winning collector will become the People’s Choice contest winner and will receive free admission to the VIP opening party, a one-year family-level membership to the museum, and four tickets to the exhibit.

Eye of the Collector will be on display from April 16 to Sept. 5. The exhibit will also include items from a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, a world-record setting Star Wars memorabilia collector, and historical pieces from Nancy and Randy Best.
