Help Be a Hero This Valentine’s Day
Celebrating holidays, like Valentine’s Day, may not come easy for parents. Especially parents who devote their time and attention to their children fighting cancer.
Heroes for Children (HFC), a non-profit organization that provides financial and social assistance to families of those fighting cancer, will be hosting its annual Valentine’s Day dinner on Feb. 21 at the Royal Oaks Country Club.
This is a special night set aside for parents to enjoy the holiday while childcare professionals care for their children in the next room.
In order to help the families, HFC is looking for following donations for the event:
- Special gift packages such as a dinner for two; family outings to the zoo, museums, or other activities; jewelry, etc.
- 30-35 goodie bags filled with movie certificates, candles, and even food coupons.
