Woman Robbed at Knife Point at Shell Station

UPDATE with information from the UPPD.

University Park police are looking to identify a woman who robbed another woman at knife point at the Snider Plaza Shell gas station at 3:22 p.m. on Friday.

The victim was pumping gas when the suspect approached her, pulled out a knife, demanded her purse, and then reached into the vehicle and took the purse. A young child was in the vehicle at the time, police said. No injuries were reported.

The suspect then got into the passenger side of a black Dodge Challenger with temporary plates and tinted windows, and fled west-bound on Lovers Lane.

The robber was described by UPPD as a black female in her early 30s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, about 150 pounds, wearing a pink pullover shirt with purples stripes. She also wore a floppy, black leather hat.

According to police, the suspect was captured on surveillance video trying to make a purchase at a department store later that day with the stolen credit cards.

Garland police later stopped the vehicle in the above photo and arrested one female with a warrant out.
