Things Got Wild at Armstrong Elementary
It was a zoo at Armstrong Elementary yesterday. Sort of.
Students interacted with various mammals and reptiles as a part of the new Animal Adventure series hosted by AT&T and the Dallas Zoo. The medley of guests included a tortoise, armadillo, chinchilla, and penguin.
AT&T donated a $50,000 grant to fund the program — a part of the Dallas Zoo’s education department — which encourages students to explore and apply STEM-based teachings in the animal kingdom. Animal Adventure will visit 40 Dallas-area schools, providing interactive learning experiences to students.
Yesterday’s appearance at Armstrong marked the kick-off of this series of Animal Adventure.
