After tornadoes devastated Rowlett on Dec. 26, the mothers and sons in the Park Cities chapter of the Young Men’s Service League sprung into action.

Melanie and Sawyer Lake collected canned food, pet food, clothing, and toiletries for those who lost their homes. Julia and Will Hayashi and Michelle and Chase Bufkin delivered them to rescue teams in Rowlett.

After arriving at First United Methodist Church, the local volunteers worked with Life Message Ministries, an affiliate of the North Texas Food Bank. For information on how you can donate to the relief effort, click here.
