That winter chill in the air means it’s time for the start of high school soccer season in Texas. And for Highland Park, it’s time to kick off the annual HP Scots Classic tournament at Highlander Stadium.

The three-day, round-robin event will include three games for each of 10 teams — six in the girls division, and four on the boys side. The champion will be determined on a point system involving wins and goals scored.

The Scots will open with a matchup against Sunset at 10 a.m., while the Lady Scots will meet Lake Travis at 2 p.m. The HP girls are coming off a Class 6A state runner-up finish that concluded last spring with just one loss. The boys are looking to return to postseason play after a two-year absence. Find a full tournament schedule after the jump.
