Hear a Highlander Strings Holiday Treat
Our annual selection of seasonal tunes wouldn’t be complete without a performance from the Highlander Strings orchestra, which will perform its annual holiday concert on Dec. 8.
The selections for conductor Peggy Tucker and her student musicians will include music from “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” the “Hallelujah” chorus from Handel’s Messiah, and just about everything in between. The concert will start at 7 p.m. in the HPHS auditorium, and it’s free and open to the public.
It also will be great chance to recognize those HPHS orchestra members who were chosen for the Texas Music Educators Association all-region orchestras during auditions in October in Grand Prairie. Participants are chosen by a panel of judges, with honors orchestra being the top placement. Find a complete list after the jump.
