DISD Voters Pass $1.6B Bond Package
With all 406 precincts reporting, Dallas ISD voters handily approved the district’s $1.6 billion bond proposal on Tuesday.
The final tally was 24,347 votes in favor and 16,038 in opposition, for a margin of 60.29 percent to 39.71 percent. Every precinct in Preston Hollow voted in favor of the referendum. Turnout was more than double the previous DISD bond referendum.

“Tonight’s bond result is a stamp of approval sent by voters who saw past the misinformation and personal agendas and kept the focus on children,” DISD board vice president Miguel Solis posted on Facebook. “With this $1.6 billion, children will see new schools, improved facilities, early childhood classrooms, new technology, and innovation. Tonight was a great night for the future of our city and its children. Thank you to all who came out to vote. Let us move forward together by building on this momentum for the betterment of our students.”
