UP Elementary Celebrates Pumpkin Day
More than 100 pumpkins lined the halls of University Park Elementary on its 47th annual Pumpkin Day Friday, Oct. 30, a school tradition since 1969.
Pumpkins varied from traditional Halloween themes to character designs like Darth Vader and Frosty the Snowman.
The students went on the annual pumpkin walk and then had lunch with family in the cafeteria. Parents dressed up in costumes and read stories in the kids’ classes.
