Author and illustrator David Macaulay visited Greenhill School to give a series of lectures and workshops.

Macaulay, author of “Castle, Cathedral, Building Big”, talked to the upper and middle schools about his passion for architecture and drawing, and spoke about the difference between seeing and looking.

“When you really see the world around you, a dialogue unfolds and you can ask more questions to arrive at the best solutions,” Macaulay said.

Macaulay has won several awards for his works including the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, the Christopher Award and the Washington Posts-Children’s Book Guild Nonfiction Award.

The Cultural Arts Committee organized his visit and set up a book signing station.
