Take Command Health Expands Availability

HP grad Jack Hooper is expanding his health insurance matchmaking platform to include small businesses. Take Command Health is partnering with Zane Benefits, which enables small businesses to reimburse their employees tax-free for their own health plans.

Now small businesses, those with under 50 employees, who sign up with Take Command Health, can allow each employee to find a plan optimized for them rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

Using Take Command Health, employers can set a monthly health insurance allowance for employees. Employees then shop for plans that fit their specific needs. Once a coverage is selected, the company reimburses the workers via  payroll, check, or direct deposit through Zane Benefits.

According to Hooper, using Take Command Health can cut small business insurance costs by up to 50 percent.

Enrollment begins on Nov. 1, so small business owners should mark your calendar.
