UP Donates 121 Shoes at Boosterthon
University Park Elementary School met its fundraising goal at the annual Boosterthon event, the Big World Recess Fun Run, on Oct. 3.
The community pulled pledges from all 50 states and almost 30 countries. This year’s giveback was The Great Shoe Takeoff, and UP students earned 121 pairs of shoes through their pledges.
The shoes will be sent to Haiti, Guatemala and Ecuador.
