Here Are the Details on Early Bond Voting

Early voting starts Monday for the $361.4 million bond referendum in Highland Park ISD, leading up to election day on Nov. 3.

You can view our extensive past coverage of the bond package here, and we’ll have plenty more prior to the final votes being cast.

There are two early-voting locations within the district — the HPISD administration building (7015 Westchester Drive) and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (7611 Park Lane). You can vote there on weekdays through Oct. 30.

On Nov. 3, voting will take place at all four HPISD elementary schools and at Highland Park Middle School, but not the high school. You can also cast a ballot, either early or on Nov. 3, at other voting locations in Dallas County.

In addition, the district will utilize mobile voting on selected dates and locations during the voting period. They include:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 21 (7 a.m.- 9 p.m.) at Hyer Elementary and Highland Park Middle School
  • Friday, Oct. 23 (7 a.m.-9 p.m.) at Armstrong Elementary, Bradfield Elementary, Highland Park High School, and Highlander Stadium
  • Thursday, Oct. 29 (7 a.m.-9 p.m.) at HPHS
  • Friday, Oct. 30 (7 a.m.-7 p.m.) at University Park Elementary, HPHS, and the stadium

Do a better bond deal. What happened to the conservative Park City folks with opposition to the big spending for this bond. Over the top folks. If this were Democrats doing this, HP & UP would go nuts.

Just shows the hypocrisy. Like Flippen Park….A gigantic fountain pool on one side that uses thousands of gallons of water, and a renovated park on the other side that claims it is a model for water preservation. Huh?

It would seem to me the HP administration and HP council folks would have removed the gigantic fountain pool. That would have probably saved more water and saved what appears six figures for something that is not so impressive in a renovation.
