Kevin Page might be best known for his acting talent — after all, he played the character that shot J.R. Ewing on the 2012 revival of “Dallas” — but as a gallery owner, he’s also passionate about art and photography.

The latter is what prompted the Preston Hollow resident to start the PhotoTXcetera Festival last year. And the event’s second installment will take place on Saturday, with the aim of celebrating Texas photography and digital arts.

The show will feature a variety of works from Page, Scott Harben, Stewart Cohen, Irby Pace, and Guy Reynolds. Harben will discuss the imagery he created for the iconic Star Wars franchise, while Reynolds will present lost photos from a canceled project meant to capture the essence of Texas during the 1986 sesquicentennial.

“This year’s PhotoTXcetera Festival will focus on 3D printing technology,” Page said. “We are exploring brand new ways to communicate with the photographic image by using 3D technologies as output mediums. For instance, we are featuring 3D oil printing and 3D lithophanes that are both made possible by unique 3D printing applications.”

The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kevin Page 3D Gallery at 1107 Dragon St., in the Dallas Design District. Presentations will start at 1 p.m., with a cocktail reception to follow. Admission is free.
