Nancy Nasher Is A Texas Trailblazer
The Family Place’s 20th Texas Trailblazer Awards Luncheon recognized a name well-known throughout Dallas, and PH resident Nancy Nasher. The luncheon was held on Oct. 1, a perfect start to Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The Family Place Texas Trailblazer Award recognizes a local individual who as, as the name implies, blazed a trail for other to follow. The award honors those who create positive change in the community and outstanding leaders, making Nasher a prime candidate for the honor.
Co-owner of NorthPark with her husband David J.Haemisegger, Nasher is an avid supporters of Dallas arts and education. She holds many leadership roles with many organizations. Along with hosting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Dallas Race for the Cure since 1995, Nasher’s philanthropical side extends to many organizations.
The Family Place works with victims of family violence, provides housing and counseling, and teaches skills that create independence. The organization offers services to prevent violence in the home and help women, children, and men get to safety.
