Dallas Bone Bash To Honor UP Co-Founder
Halloween isn’t complete without a night of ghoulish games, devilish delights, fortune tellers, and costume contests. And you don’t have to be a kid to partake in those at the Arthritis Foundation’s 10th Annual Bone Bash.
Originating in Dallas, the event–which was founded by UP resident, Dr. W.Z. “Buz” Burkhead Jr., and Dr. Rob Langdon–has been adopted across the country and has collectively raised over $4.2 million in the fight to end arthritis. In fact, this year’s gala will honor these two doctors as the founders of the inaugural Bone Bash.
If their names seem familiar, you might recognize them from the all-doctor classic rock band Doctor Doctor, which performs annually at the Dallas Bone Bash.
Since 2006, the Dallas Bone Bash has raised more than $2 million toward the Foundation’s search for a cure for arthritis. The donations also support the Foundation’s information, advocacy, science, and community programs.
The Halloween-themed gala will be held on Oct. 17 at the Omni Dallas Hotel–costumes are a must. Tickets are $300 a person. For more information, click here.
