Packers Top Bears in Montgomery’s Debut
Former St. Mark’s standout Ty Montgomery made an impact in his NFL debut for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Montgomery was the primary kick returner for the Packers in a 31-23 win over the Chicago Bears. He returned three kickoffs for an average of more than 35 yards, including a 46-yard effort that set up the go-ahead touchdown early in the second half.
The receiver was drafted in the third round by the Packers this summer after playing for four years at Stanford, where he had 15 touchdown receptions and was an All-American return specialist.
