Dallas Music Rebrands as Academy

Dallas Music in Snider Plaza is rebranding itself as the Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts after 28 years of business. The new name is meant to reflect its transformed course schedule, which includes programs in music education and professional artist support.

“My vision for DAMPA is to tap into the deep talent pool in Dallas, develop it, and help artists reach their goals — from learning a new instrument to landing a record deal,” said owner Lisa Jenkins.

Classes range from instruction in piano, flute, guitar, and other instruments, to music therapy, songwriting, and classes for babies and toddlers.
