HP Grad Wants to Fire Up Scots Fans
For William Draper, the opportunity to coordinate the music during his years on the varsity baseball team at Highland Park High School was the start of his passion for sports entertainment.
Since graduating from HP, Baylor, and SMU for post-baccalaureate certifications, he founded Draper Media, which helps brand some of the most successful teams in collegiate sports. Now, he wants to bring that game-day experience to Highlander Stadium.
“I wanted to give Scots fans a Friday night lights unlike any other high school, because HP is truly unlike any other high school,” Draper said. “This is a new era of HP sports that any HP fan will be proud to be a part of.”
He has spent the summer working with the HP Sports Club to develop digital content and animations that rival collegiate in-venue experiences. The content will be shown at home games on the new HD video board that was installed after last season. The Scots will host Pulaski Academy from Little Rock, Ark., in their home opener on Friday.
