Southwestern Medical Foundation’s “Leading the Conversation on Health”

Southwestern Medical Foundation’s “Leading the Conversation on Health,” a series of “Fireside Chats,” was held in the Pecan Room at Old Parkland on Monday, May 11, 2015, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. These conversations are designed to bring together a diverse community of thought leaders focused on the future of health and provide a means to better understand the extraordinary strides being made in academic medicine, education and clinical care in the Dallas area, especially at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The event was hosted by Robert Rowling, Kathleen Gibson and Harlan Crow. The Topic for the evening was “What’s Next? Building the highest quality health care, student by student.” Dr. J. Gregory Fitz, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean and Provost at UT Southwestern, along with an outstanding medical student, Mary Villani, thrilled the crowd with the conversation between them. Making great doctors is fantastic science.
