Veteran Amputees Take on Former Dallas Cowboys For Charity

I like football, but I don’t care much about any one team (I know – GASP). But here’s a team I can definitely get behind.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team will take on former Dallas Cowboys and other NFL alumni in a flag football challenge at Jesuit on May 21 from 6-8 p.m.

The WWAFT is made of up service members who now use prosthetic devices in everyday life activities.

Tickets for adults are $10 and can be purchased online here. Students and children get in free. All proceeds benefit the WWAFT and Disabled Veterans Initiatives of Texas.

Don’t feel motivated yet to go? Check out this moving video from WWAFT’s game against former Washington Redskins players. Be ready for some feels.

For more information on this game call 703-923-3000 or email the WWAFT at chris.visser@wwaft.org.
