KPMG Celebrates 100 Years by Giving
Mayor Mike Rawlings and Jennifer Sampson of United Way joined KPMG to help celebrate the tax firm’s 100th year this morning at the Dallas Museum of Art.
Manny Fernandez, KPMG’s Dallas branch managing partner, presented a $25,000 check on behalf of KPMG’s Family for Literacy to the mayor for his summer reading program. That amount will go toward purchasing 9,000 books.
As part of their celebration, roughly 800 KPMGers will donate time to Hearts and Hammers and 10 other United Way service providers including: Children’s Health, Resource Center, The Salvation Army, Jewish Family Services, Mi Escuelita Preschool, Goodwill Industries, The Senior Source, CitySquare, Nexus Recovery Center, and The Family Place.
KPMG employees used the hashtag #DallasKPMG100 to share the event on social media.
