It’s a tradition every year for the president of the Heart of Dallas chapter of the National Charity League to select a theme to mark her tenure.

This year, that theme was “Dare to Soar,” providing a challenge to the group from president Molly Pieroni to serve more in the community. And it appears the local NCL chapter did just that, providing more than 4,600 hours of community service during the past year.

In fact, 24 of them qualified for the President’s Volunteer Service Award. They include Mara Acosta (gold), Cate Baker (silver), Kendall Colaluca (gold), Anna Disney (bronze), Kristen Hyman (gold), McKenna Jordan (bronze), Elle Meneghetti (bronze), Emma Meneghetti (bronze), Alex Moock (gold), Menaka Naidu (bronze), Grace Olson (gold), Madison Parry (bronze), Lauren Shanafelt (bronze), Christine Van Kirk (bronze), Ashley Wechsler (gold), Caroline Winslow (bronze), Samantha Yates (gold), Millicent Callan (gold), Sara Katherine Farmer (silver), Hannah Genender (gold), Catherine Heldenfels (silver), Emily Kane (bronze), Kathryn Mootz (gold), and Caroline Van Kirk (bronze).

The local chapter was founded in 2007 and consists of 150 mothers and 175 daughters, who are known as Ticktockers. The group serves 26 local philanthropies, with membership stretching from the Park Cities to Plano.
