Dallas notables gathered on Friday, April 24 to raise over $600,000 for UNICEF at its inaugural Children First: An Evening with UNICEF event. The organization also honored American Airlines with the first ever Children First Award for its 20+ year commitment to raising funds and awareness for children worldwide. Hector Adler, American Airlines’ Vice President of Flight Service, accepted the award on behalf of the airline.

The guests at the event, held at Sixty Five Hundred, enjoyed dinner, a live auction, and a performance by violinist Bobby Yang. Big ticket auction items included a Dallas Mavericks experience (a signed Tyson Chandler jersey and tickets to a Mavericks road game with transportation on the Mavs’ jet), two tickets to New York Fashion Week, and a UNICEF Field Visit around the world.
