Early Voting Starts, Flores Gains Supporters
In case you weren’t paying attention, early voting started yesterday. Click here to find your polling place and beat the May 9 crowds.
One hot race we’re watching is between two DISD District 1 candidates, Edwin Flores and Kyle Renard. This week, Flores has locked in endorsements from city councilwoman Jennifer Gates and former city councilwoman Ann Margolin.
“I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Edwin Flores,” Gates said. “We must work together to improve our schools and Edwin is the experienced voice we need as our Dallas ISD Trustee.”
Margolin added: “We must continue the progress that has been made transforming our schools. We must ensure our children get a great education. Edwin has a deep stake in improving education.”
Renard has also collected endorsements from the Preston Hollow Democrats, Friends of the Branch, and the Dallas Friends of Public Education, among others.
UPDATE: City Council member Lee Kleinman has also endorsed Edwin Flores, as of April 30.
