Get Creative at North Dallas Studio Tour
This weekend brings another installment of the North Dallas Artist Studio Tour, which provides a wonderful opportunity to view the latest works from neighborhood artists.
The tour, in its 12th year, includes 32 artists showing unique, handmade projects in a variety of mediums and styles. It runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
At any rate, one of the participants is Nathan Jones of Preston Hollow, who produces art using a technique he calls “painting with a pencil.” Jones replicates painting using graphite, and has used his method on postage stamps and as an architectural designer.
A couple of other names to watch include photographer Sheila Cunningham and ceramicist Jan Dreskin-Haig. You can go here to find a complete list of artists, along with where you can pick up a map from any of 18 participating studios.
